Mentorship

Our mentorship program provides guidance and support to empower women on their journey. Experienced mentors offer valuable insights, share experiences, and foster personal and professional growth, creating a nurturing environment for skill development and leadership.

Facilitation

Our facilitation services aim to ease and enhance the learning and growth process. Whether through workshops, events, or networking opportunities, we facilitate meaningful connections and provide the tools for women to navigate challenges, fostering a community that empowers and uplifts.

Mental Health & Psychological Services

Mentor Chica provides comprehensive mental health and psychological services to support the emotional well-being of young adolescent girls and ladies. Through personalized guidance and counseling, the initiative addresses a spectrum of mental health concerns, fostering resilience and emotional empowerment.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)

Mentor Chica helps young girls and ladies understand and take charge of their sexual and reproductive health rights. This service provides easy-to-understand information, resources, and support to help make informed decisions about relationships and overall well-being, regardless of HIV/AIDS status. Mentor Chica aims to create a comfortable space for discussing and learning about SRHR.

Programs

YOUTH WISE

Youthwise is a 36‑month initiative supporting adolescents and young people living with HIV through tailored treatment adherence, mental health support, life‑skills training, and peer‑led counseling. It promotes gender‑progressive norms, reduces stigma, ensures youth‑friendly SRHR services, strengthens partner capacity, and advocates inclusive policies.

HAKI YETU WAJIBU WETU

The Haki Yetu Wajibu Wetu project is a 36‑month initiative (2024–2026), Haki Yetu Wajibu Wetu empowers grassroots SRHR movements by enhancing institutional capacity, advocacy skills, and cross‑sector partnerships. It unites community groups, drives data‑informed decision‑making, raises SRHR awareness, expands service access, transforms norms, advances policy reforms, and fosters youth‑led networks.

Where are we located?

Mentor Chica Initiative is currently located inside Coast General Hospital in a department known as Youth Zone.

The Youth Center in the facility is you get Mentor Chica services.

What services do you offer?

At Mentor Chica Initiative we offer a variety of services based on social works and community development.

Services rendered include Mentorship, Empowerment, Capacity Building, Networking & Talent Enhancement, Mentorship and Counselling

Which type of communities do you deal with?

At Mentor Chica we deal with young people in all diversities.

Our energy is mainly focused on matters of sexual reproductive health, mental health, adolescent girls, HIV and young women.

How do you approach networking, both online and offline?

We primarily engage in online networking through platforms like Twiter and Facebook, where we connect with colleagues and industry professionals.

We also attend local industry events and conferences to build face-to-face connections.
